Members Meeting 2023 – Mitgliederversammlung

Dear members of ABC,

our annual Mitgliederversammlung (MV) or members‘ meeting is coming up  on

Wednesday February 22nd 2023 at 7:30pm in the gym hall of Georg-Büchner-Schule instead of the usual free play session there.

Let us give you a bit of background: every year, we’re required by law to hold an annual members’ meeting, which is the highest decision-making body of the club and to which all members are invited. It’s where we decide what direction to take the club in: you can introduce proposals, find out about club finances in 2022 and our 2023 budget proposal and stand for election to the new Executive Board (EB), ask questions as well as cast your votes on all these issues.

In the past, issues such as raising the membership fee, introducing caps for shuttle use or restrictions on new member intake were discussed there and proposals to better run the club were put to the vote. If you want to be part of the conversation, join us there!

It looks like we will be ordering some pizza for sustenance, but expect more information and a formal invitation to go out to you all by email in early February. In the meantime, do get in touch if you have any questions and enjoy your games!
