Badminton in August – Update
Dear members,
those of you already in our club Signal group will have had some time to digest this news, for all others, here is the new situation:
our hall at Valentin-Senger-Schule (Bornheim) has recently suffered water damage and is now off-limits until building maintenance and workers can ascertain the extent of the problem (and, perhaps, how to fix it).
This forced us to look for a new hall to play at, which I’m glad to say we’ve already found:
the large hall at Schule am Ried in Bergen-Enkheim has 6 courts and is ours on Mondays and Thursdays from 7PM to 10PM (until the end of the school holidays on Aug 27th).
It is less centrally located than Valentin-Senger-Schule, so let me show you how to get there by car:
for your navsat, enter the crossing of Rangenbergstraße and Bornweidstraße in 60388 Frankfurt (that is Bergen-Enkheim) as your goal; there are parking spaces in the dead-end street Bornweidstraße to the east of the intersection.
If you’re getting there by public transport, use U4 or U7 to get to the final stop Enkheim; from there, it’s a 12 minute walk to the hall.
Since a lot of people will be travelling by car, our suggestion would be to find someone who can take you by car or pick you up from the subway stop and drive to the hall together!
Once you’re at Bornweidstraße, the following pics will show you how to get to the hall:
1. enter the dead end street (and find a parking space – you can ignore the no parking signs))
2. turn right and walk through the metal gates between the buildings
3. turn left at the next corner and find the double doors to enter the hall (not sure if the graffiti is still there)
Any questions, get in touch via the signal chat group – people can guide you to the entrance!
